Our History
Our CEO, Mr. Nirmal Bazaz is the first to be honored with the Insurance Broker’s Licence in Eastern India, way back in 2003. As on date, we enjoy the reputation of being the most customer-friendly insurance broker having the expertise in providing EXTRA COVERAGE to our clients, more than their expectations.
We are proud that the decade of our service is adjudged by our clients as ‘par excellence. We are thankful to them for having given us the opportunity to serve them with all our expertise and professional efficiency.

MD & CEO
I recall my earlier days when I was working as a Senior Management Consultant in the Risk And Business Solution Group with M/s Ernst & Young, I had heard that some insurance professionals abroad were very successful in providing insurance advisory services to the general masses. Those days in India not too many people were insurance conscious. Though I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification, yet my mind was only roaming around a thought why not to find a way of making the general masses of India also aware of the intricacies of insurance policies.
While this thought was going on, the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA), promoted by the Government of India, introduced the profession of Insurance Brokers in October 2002. I was one of the few firsts who got their mandatory training at the National Insurance Academy, Pune and was awarded the Brokers Licence by the end of the year. Initially it was very difficult to crack the existing mindset of the people and make headway through, even for their own interest. However, as the time passed the awareness increased and, by the grace of GOD, Extra Cover started gaining confidence by giving most efficient insurance solutions to its clients. Today we are well recognized and appreciated by all our clients. We thank all our clients who gave us the opportunity to serve them with their need based tailor made insurance solutions and, could bring smile on their face.

Aditya Bajaj is the executive director of Extra Cover Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd, a leading insurance broking house. With a strong educational background in Finance from the Australian National University, Aditya combines his expertise in Information Technology, Finance, and Insurance to lead the company to new heights.
With his deep understanding of finance and insurance, he brings a unique blend of skills to Extra Cover. His expertise in Information Technology allows him to leverage cutting-edge solutions and digital advancements, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the industry.

Our Team
We have a very strong team of qualified and experienced professionals having vast experience in Risk Management, Price/Quote Negotiation, Under-writing, Operations and Claims Handling.
Our Team is headed by Mr. Nirmal Bazaz who is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He wears another feather in his cap by being an Associate Member of Indian Institute of Insurance. During his early days Nirmal had worked as the Senior Management Consultant in Risk and Business Solution Group with Ernst & Young. He has the distinction of being the Founder of the first insurance broking house in Eastern India. He has been selected by the Chairman of IBAI as the Convener of West Bengal. Earlier he had also shouldered the responsibility of the Director, IBAI, Eastern India.
Being very choosy and perfectionist, Nirmal has prepared an excellent team of qualified and experienced insurance professionals who are kept updated with the latest changes, amendments etc. in the insurance industry through continuous training programmes, seminars, workshops etc.
